The Foundation is successful because many people of vision and generosity give of their time, talent and treasure. To support the work of making a Catholic school education in the Archdiocese of Hartford accessible through scholarships there are many ways to give to FACS. Some are listed below:

An immediate gift helps us meet current and urgent needs. (cash, appreciated stock, etc. )

Planned gifts - help us build a strong foundation for the future of Catholic schools. They are an opportunity for you to guarantee that the type of education and the schools important to you during your lifetime will flourish, and may offer an opportunity to reduce the tax burden on your heirs. The simplest type of planned gift is a bequest, a gift to The Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools in your will. Other examples of planned gifts include: trusts, Charitable Gift Annuities, life insurance, IRAs, and gifts of real estate. These gifts are best arranged with the help of your attorney, estate planner or financial advisor.

FACS is working in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Hartford to offer Charitable Gift Annuities and to serve as Trustee for such gifts as a Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust. These gifts offer an income stream, a portion of which may be tax-free, for one or two lives for life along with current tax savings.  FACS may be named as the beneficiary of these gifts. If it is important to you that strong Catholic schools be available to your descendants or your community after your lifetime you may wish to endow your annual gift. There are many options available to do this. These gifts are best arranged with the help of your attorney, estate planner or financial advisor.

Sponsorship - The Foundation presents special events with opportunities for personal and corporate sponsorships. (Check our “Events” page)

Gift of time – volunteers who donate professional services to FACS also allow us to dedicate more dollars to scholarship and other aid to our schools. Call and ask Shirley Ziolkowski as to how your professional skills could benefit FACS.

FACS is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Gifts to FACS are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
